The curvier Kareena Kapoor vs bony divas

Kareena Kapoor was as quick to kick out the size zero trend, as she was to take to it. And for good reason, too. Any fashionista worth her salt recognises that saris are best suited for curves. So, for Kareena, curves it is.Nonetheless, the latest item girl to hop onto the bandwagon of losing weight is Katrina Kaif , the newest item girl on the block. Kaif is rumoured to have lost more than a few kilos and dropped a few dress sizes especially for the song in Tees Maar Khan. Showing off her newly acquired fit figure, the actress was spotted in a red Rocky S lehenga at a promotional event for Tees Maar Khan. Dancing to the tunes of her hit number live on the Juhu beach, it was obvious it's not the lehenga that's big for her. It's just that the actress no longer has the curves to pull off traditional Indian wear.

A straight figure just can't work the sensuality required for an Indian outfit.Sonam Kapoor is also stuck in the same boat. Her size zero body might work for Herve Leger dresses, but it doesn't do justice to a sari. Spotted recently at Masaba Gupta's store launch, the fashionista just couldn't carry off a simple sari with a bold border. The same can be said about Genelia D'Souza who always looks great in western wear but hardly hits the mark when it comes to the traditional Indian.Designer Gautum Rakha of label Rabani and Rakha feels "size zero doesn't suit everybody... Women should look like women. To look sexy in a sari, it's nice to have a curve at the waist and a slightly fuller figure".
